Ann has worked with a number of local authorities in Scotland and England in the highways and transport field.  This includes working with Edinburgh City Council in bringing forward their congestion charging and tram projects as well as with Kent County Council in dealing with the issues posed by Operation Stack, a potential new hub airport and developing an innovative Growth and Infrastructure Framework.  Her career also includes a period as National Travel Demand Manager with the New Zealand equivalent of Highways England.  She is currently Director of Environment and Transport with Leicestershire County Council leading a team of 800 delivering the county’s highways, transport, environment and waste services.
